Brad's first County Fair!

Brad was so excited to meet this cow, the owner was a little girl named Hannah, and this is her steer named Montana. Also notice his hat, my dad didn't want him making a fool of himself at the rodeo so he made him wear one of his Welling Livestock Hats.

He met all kinds of animals, chickens, bunnies, and roosters.

We went to the rodeo with my best friend Brookie! We had so much fun!

And Brad kissing the cows at the fair.

Brad the Builder.

So Brad feels like a real man now a days. He has a tool set, a drill, and lives with his best looking roommate ever. (Or so he says). So we bought two dressers from Ikea that Brad learned to assemble, the first one took about 5 hours, the next I got tired of counting. :)

We then bought our bed, which was much easier, I think this took about an hour.

Thanks Brad for all your man-work!

Most worn out Rainbows ever!

So right after Brad and I got engaged, I decided it was finally time for me to buy Brad some new rainbows.. since the ones he currently had are ridiculous. See picture below..

Well the new ones lasted about two months, till we went to Lake Shasta when they somehow went missing. Secretly.. I think Brad threw them overboard because he wanted to wear his old ones again.

Such a hunk!

10 Things I've learned my first month of marriage

Happy Month Anniversary Babe!

1 - Dance often in your new home, its a great workout and is a lot of fun.
2 - Cooking for two is a lot better than cooking for one.
3 - Waking up to someone everyone morning has definitely made it worth the wait.
4 - Saturdays are now my favorite days - Yummy Breakfasts
5 - Coming back to work after 2 weeks vacation is the worst thing invented.
6 - Getting used to having the toilet seat up.
7 - Having to pronounce my new last name.. its RV, not that complicated.
8 - Love that Brad looks so sharp going to work, suits and ties.. yes please!
9 - Guys just need to get used to the fact that they get less than half of the closet. Girls just have more stuff.
10 - Marry your best friend, life will never be boring.

First learning experience

Last week, we were all gung-ho about getting our home all set up. We started off with returning presents and getting the presents we didn't receive. We then started figuring out where we were going to hang stuff, and decided we were going to buy a leather couch to go with the one Brad has.

We found one on craigslist.. we went to see it.. it was really cool because it folds down to a bed.. $150 later we bought it.

Once we got it home we realized a few things
1- it smells like weed
2- matching leather couches NEVER works
3- our apartment just got a lot smaller
4- This couch does not match anything we want.

So we febreezed it, it smells nice, and we reposted it on craigslist.. Any takers?

Honeymoon #2 Lake Shasta

So after our adventures to the lovely island of Oahu, we flew back to LAX on a red eye, had a layover for about 3 hours, then took another flight to Redding, CA we arrived in Lake Shasta, CA.

The Arave's, Castletons, and the Redfords all take a year trip up to Lake Shasta for a family vacation. Another reason Brad and I wanted to get married end of July was because we did not want to have to be engaged during a vacation, we just wanted to be married!!

We jet skied, did some eagles nest exploring, took lots of naps, ate a TON of junk food, layed out even more, and wakeboarded. It was a great time, and even funner getting to know my new family. :)

My favorite pictures so far!

Mr. and Mrs.

We are back.. two weeks later and could not be anymore in love! The wedding day was great, and went by so fast.. it was seriously like a dream. I will post pictures as soon as I have some. Here is one of my favorites of the day. My dad and I dancing. The neatest part about getting married on July 25th was that my parents were also married on the same day 32 years ago. It was such a great experience getting to share their anniversary with our wedding day.

We went on our honeymoon to Wakiki Beach in Honolulu, it was a surprise.. well the Honolulu part. I did end up finding out that we were going to Hawaii, so it was still a little surprise. :) We went snorkeling, hiking up to a waterfall, ate a ton, slept a ton, and most importantly relaxed and enjoyed each other. The next week we went to Lake Shasta in Northern California for a second honeymoon with Brads family on a house boat. It was a great time and I so enjoyed getting to know his family better.

Yesterday we drove into Huntington Beach for the first time as a married couple, and spent the first night in our home. We are so grateful to all those who helped make this day special and who have helped us along the way. We are so blessed.

Read all the posts below to hear about our honeymoon. Don't worry I left all the personal details out. :)

Love you all!
