Honeymoon Day 5 - July 30th - PCC and Temple

So as I had mentioned that the night before we went to the Magic of Polynesia, my sister Lori and her husband Evan are really good friends with some Samoans in Utah, therefore they are pretty much family. Samoans are amazing people, as well as the whole Hawaiian culture, the people are all about Ohanas (family) and are so nice. So my sister hooked us up with one of her friends named Ah Chew (yes that is his name) he is a firedancer at the Magic of Polynesia, and is amazing! He got us in to the Polynesian Culture Center for free!! SO awesome.

So we spent all day at the PCC, and made a trip over to the Lanai Temple, sadly it was closed for renovation, but we were still able to go to the grounds and the visitors center. It was great to just be in the presence of something so amazing.

Honeymoon Day 4 - July 29th - Day of Adventure and lots of pictures!

Today we decided to get off our lazy, relaxed buts and do some tourist exploring. So we went on a hike! Can you guess what we did before?? No, we didn't get our same breakfast, we decided to try something new! So we went and ate a Lulus which looks right over the ocean, it was a great little spot, but the food wasn't so good. We should stick to the CRUNCHY french toast.

Following we got already for our adventure. We took a nature hike up to one of the waterfalls, no we did not do the Moana Falls, that was actually booked, so we did the nature one instead. Which was actually great! The place where we started was right next to a Golf Course.. yes, this was Brads happy place!

Once we started hiking Brad started getting really tired, so he needed a stick to keep him going, I was stick free!! Totally kidding.. after awhile I had to take a breather and drink some water!

We then started exploring!!

This was a shampoo something.. when you squeeze it goo comes out, and shampoo is sometimes made with it.. or something like that!

And then we made it to the Waterfall!!

Then we were on our way back.. get it.. back!

We got really hyper and decided to take silly pictures, of course!

We would also like to recognize the state bird, or mascot.

Afterwards for dinner we went to the Magic of Polynesia.. it was hilarious and awesome at the same time! There was an asian magician.. need I say more?

Honeymoon Day 3 - July 28th - Day of Relaxing!

By this day we were sooo exhausted from the pre-wedding stress, to no sleep, to jet lag we decided the first thing we would do is order.. can you guess?? ROOM SERVICE, and can you guess what I got??? CRUNCHY FRENCH TOAST!! Brad got the Eggs benedict, and we then fell in love with Room service, we decided we would get a couples massage also, so we went and lounged at the pool in the morning, then got our massage in the afternoon. That night we walked around the fun city of Waikiki and ate at Ruths Chris Steak House, it was amazing!! We told them it was our honeymoon so our table was all set with roses, and they even gave us chocolate covered strawberries YUM!! We did order food, which is always so good, we both got the filet mignon. We then walked around the streets some more, we got some Haagan Daz (i'm sad I can't spell this) and walked around some of the little flee market shops.

Sorry no pictures for the day, my camera was also on a relaxation day.

Honeymoon Day 2 - July 27th Day of AMAZING food!

Once we woke up Brad and I went down to get some breakfast, we at the Kuhio grill, its downstairs from the Marriott in Wakiki, anyways go to it! I fell in love with their Crunchy French Toast, I wish I had a picture to share, because it even looked beautiful. So they make french toast with wheat bread and dip it into Kellogg's Corn Flakes. Then put bananas and strawberries, just a few of my favorite things. Well our cute little waitress comes over and suggests I try the Coconut Syrup, HELLO, I fell in love again!! This food was amazing, I had it every day we were there for breakfast basically. Brad had the buffet, but then later realized he would get Eggs Benedict the following days.

Right after breakfast we had to go right to the beach and take pictures. So we took it right by the wedge, where we found some other newlyweds to take our picture, and then by a neat little waterfall.

We then went to the pool and laid out for the remainder of the day. Once we were hungry again we took a trip downstairs and ate at an another amazing place.. which I can't remember the name of it, but it was downstairs again in an Italian restaurant, let me tell you.. AMAZING again! We ate Fettuicini Alfredo with some ham in it, I believe it was called Pricioto? Hawaii has amazing food, I was obsessed, obviously!!

Talking about all this food is making me hungry..

Honeymoon Day 1 - July 26th

As many of you know I love to sleep, and when I don't get a lot of sleep I get a little bit cranky. Therefore Brad was kind enough to let me sleep all the way to Hawaii. Do I look cozy or what?! PS if you ever go to Hawaii be sure and wear a sweatshirt on the airplane its FREEEEZING!!

We then took a shuttle to our hotel, the lovely Marriott Spa and Resort. By this time I was starting to get very cranky, no sleep, no food = lacey cranky. I get it from my dad.. trust me is inherited. So we decided to get some sushi, were so sleepy and off schedule we went back to the room and um slept of course!

The day before the wedding!

As I was going through pictures of the wedding I ran into the pictures from the night before when we went to family dinner at El Torito. I also forgot to blog about my wonderful first experience in the temple. Shame on me!! Anyways the day before the wedding I did everything in this order.

7am wake up
8am Got my hair blown dry by Jenn Draegger (she is amazing, if you need a hair stylist she is fab!)
9am Got a facial by Brooke at Massage Envy, she is also amazing
1030am Got mani and pedi with Jenn Scott
1130am Met mom and dad at our house (pictures to come soon)
1230pm Left with mom and Jenn to head to Fashion Island for lunch
130pm Met Brad, and family at temple. Even got a surprise visit from Melissa Lundquist (LOVES)
3pm Endowment Session
530pm Dinner with family
7pm Left for San Diego to stay in hotel with girls!

The temple was by far my favorite part of the day, and is highly recommended! Most Brides are so stressed the day before the wedding, and I was on cloud 9! I'm sure the facial and mani/pedi also helped to destressify (is that a word, it should be).

The dinner was great also, mine and Brads family were there, along with my friend Jenn. The waiter gave brad and I some fun accessories to embarrass us. Our families both told stories about our childhood or things we should know. Brad's family learned that I loved to melt popsicles in the microwave so they are like a slushy, I even had it for breakfast sometimes. My family learned that Brad is an explorer and loves finding Lizards. Hopefully our kids will not get that trait.. I am terrified of lizards, snakes, and insects! Lets pray I have little girls!! :) Here are some pictures from the lovely evening.

10 Days till I enter the most special place I will ever walk foot in!

Yes, I know how to count, and yes I know this is not the San Diego temple. It is the Newport Beach temple, and the Day before I am married.. 11 days to be exact, I get to go there. Ever since I was a little girl I have dreamed of this day, as well as my wedding day. I cannot wait to enter into the house of the Lord.

Another addition to the accessories!

So if you know me at all, you know I am huge on accessories. However, for my wedding day I have been debating if I should go all out or keep is simple. My dress is super simple, and could use some accessorizing to make it Lacey! So I am going to borrow Brad's moms pearl necklace, and have this amazing headband. Made by Naomi over at Taza and Husband She is sooo creative and I love her blog.
